Sniper Airsoft Guns
Sniper Airsoft Guns – A Comparison Between The 3 Different Types
Sniper Airsoft Guns are fun to use, but there are more styles of guns out there, it all depends on your preference at the moment. The kinds of guns that are used in airsoft are: sniper rifles, machine guns, and pistols. All with their own purposes in the game. After reading this article you will have a better understand of which one will most likely suit your style of play.
Sniper Rifle:
This is a larger, more bulky gun to use when playing airsoft. However, lots of people like to use them because of the fact the barrel is longer, and makes them more accurate. However, they are impractical when trying to run around.
The best thing to do is find a nice place to hide out where you can watch all your opponents, and try taking them out one at a time.
Because the barrel is longer, and has a better accuracy rating, there is usually a sight, or scope attached to allow you to shoot from longer distances. Not as long as a real sniper rifle, but long enough that they might wonder where the shot came from.
If you want to go for stealth above everything else, then I would advise you to take this type of gun, just don’t expect to shoot this on the go.
Machine Gun:
This is the fast action gun. You get to run around, and take out lots of people at once, as it is an automatic weapon. Using an electric motor to increase fire rate, it allows you to shoot lots of pellets in a short amount of time.
It is always best to carry some extra magazines with you as you will go through your ammo quite quickly. There is nothing worse, than pulling that trigger with an enemy on the sights, and nothing happen. That usually means you just got taken out for your troubles.
Depending on your preference of style, you might want to use replicas of M16′s, tommy guns, AK-47, MP5, or even if you want to make a statement, a mini gun.
It is pretty cool how many different replicas of machine guns there are.
And the reason why the machine guns use an electric motor to do the firing, instead of a gas, is because of the amount that would be required. You would need to carry A LOT of canisters for refueling if you had a gas powered machine gun. Most machine guns that are gas powered, and there are a few, will be semi automatic to reserve fuel
Pistol:
This is the first gun you most likely will ever pick up when first starting your airsoft experience. They are usually either gas powered, CO2 powered, or spring powered. Because of the bulkiness of the electric motor, it is rare, and almost unheard of to have an automatic pistol. I am sure there are some mods out there for it, but it is a bit impractical when it comes to airsoft guns. If you wanted an automatic, then you might as well have just went machine gun.
If you are playing a rather long game, I would use this as a back up, or a secondary stealth weapon. As it is easier to sneak around with something concealable, rather than carrying around a bulky machine gun. It’s more of a “surprise I got you”, rather than “I just sprayed you with a bunch of bullets”
Now that you know about the different types of guns available, besides Sniper Airsoft Guns, you will be able to better choose your weapon of choice. Now, I hope you all remember that this game is supposed to be fun and safe. So play by the rules, and make sure you only attack people in protective gear, and that you are wearing it yourself. So get out there, lock and load, and have a blast.
