a) I want to shoot people as they pass by
b) I think shooting animals is fun
c) I want to engage in strategic combat with my friends
The correct answer is “C”. Think of airsoft as a first person shooter game. You go around, trying to find each other, and take out the other team. There might even be a capture the flag elements in play as well. But, these are not “toys” per say, they not to be pointed at people, or to be used on animals as target practice. They can be dangerous if they are not used properly. Before you even start playing, please learn all the safety rules for this game.
How do I know how to Properly Take care of an airsoft gun?
a) I was just going to throw it in the back seat of my car
b) I know that it must be cleaned after every time you use it
c) Clean? I don’t clean my room, why would I clean my gun?
The correct answer is “B”. The gun must be cleaned after every engagement you use it. This will make sure it stays in working order for a long time to come. If you neglect your gun, it may actually cause you injury, such as if the CO2 becomes jammed, it might explode. Plus, these are not exactly cheap toys, they do cost a little money, but can be tons of fun if used right, and are taken care of.
I have never used an airsoft gun, I think I will start with:
a) I was going to start with the basic pistol
b) Machine gun baby!
c) I want a sniper rifle. BOOM HEAD SHOT!
The correct answer would be “A”. It is always better to start out at the bottom before you move on to more advanced weaponry. Once you get the handle of it, you can move on to the automatic machine gun, or the single shot, spring loaded sniper rifle. But I must worn you, it is not a good idea to aim for the head of a target, aim for center mass, this will give you a better chance to hit, and it will not pose a risk to your friend.
Now that you have taken the CO2 Airsoft Guns readiness test, you should be able to make more of a decision on if you are ready to pick one up and start playing. Basically, you must know what is the appropriate use for this gun, as well as how to properly take care of it, and which gun to start off with. Doing any of these wrong, will create a dangerous situation for you and your friends. So play it safe, and make sure you know what you are doing.
